Bill Farmer
Running for Idaho State Senate | District 7
I will work for safe communities, excellent public schools, and effective government.
ABOUT
I am running to give voters in District 7 a candidate that is closer to the center on most issues. The Republican platform does not reflect a conservative point of view but rather requires loyalty to extreme positions in those areas that concern rural Idaho with few checks and balances.
After graduating from Borah High School, I served our country in the Air National Guard transferring to the Navy toward the end of the Vietnam conflict where our ship was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. Returning to Idaho, I graduated from Boise State University and earned an advanced degree from College of Idaho in School Administration. I completed a 43 year career in Adult and Correctional Education in 2019. My wife, Mona, and I raised our three, now adult, kids in Cottonwood. Along the way, I listened, learned, and stayed optimistic. I made many friends, accomplished much of what I set out to do, and participated. I have been retired for 5 years and am still listening, learning, and being optimistic about our future.
